Sculptor and Painter, Sara Cunningham-Bell creates
dynamic Fine Art working towards work in series;
also to specified brief with budget
for her private and, commercial clients.
Belfast born Artist Sara Cunningham-Bell (C-B), works out of her Gorse Lane Studio on the North Coast of Ireland. Her work is figurative in form and documentary in approach. It can be iconic and intimate in scale.
Cunningham-Bell's work is part of the Art Collection of Bass Ireland Contemporary Fine art, CCGB Council, The Hastings Hotel Group, The Vatican City, B.B. Fraser, McLaughlin and Harvey, Heriot-Watt University amongst a few. Her work is graphically employed by publishing houses - Eerdmans (U.S.), SCM-Canterbury, W.J Knox, Routledge Press, and C-Bs sculpture work has won a number of public competitions for DCAL, IRFU, Victoria College Belfast, the European Union Programme for Peace and Reconciliation an International Fund for Ireland.
Her degree work won the Andrew Grant prize which funded postgraduate studies at Edinburgh College of Art, after which her work represented Ireland in the Grands et Jeunes D’Aujourd’Hui Salon 2000 Paris and Luxembourg. Her work has been part of over 40 group shows, eight solo shows in France, Luxembourg, Scotland and Ireland and she has completed public work for a variety of sites: hotel, university, school, landscape, company HQ, Borough Councils.
Central to her work is the endeavour to interrupt the dualisms that divide up the lived world, forming the realities we seek to inhabit. The most important of these being, spirit/matter.
The Art negotiates this quandary, in an effort to present the truth of beauty - a truth that cannot be dependent on the ugly.

"We love our George sculpture which adds another engaging dimension to our site while blending perfectly with what we are all about. As well as being a fascinating focal point that attracts people visiting the site, we love how it is a 'live' piece where children and families can add sticks, branches and leaves, making it an interactive and constantly evolving installation"
